KJD Artist Development Announce Launch of Talent Development studio

A performance studio focused on creating future performing artists, KJD Artist Development is a place every talented child in and around Sydney in Australia should be at.

All children have abilities of one sort or another, though they don’t always reflect those of their parents. Your youngster might be the first in the family to have a knack for gymnastics or a penchant for the piano, or she might have a unique ability to make people laugh. CTM Music Releases New EP Titled Emanate

Australian Record label/Publishing company powerhouse, CTM Music releases new EP titled Emanate. Emanate comprises of 5 young Artists with 5 new original songs. The EP was launched in Sydney Australia at the end of August 2017 and the Artists have attracted media attention across Sydney.

In their aim to bring positive message to the music world through their platform, CTM music continues to launch artists who their talents align with CTM music goal in the entertainment industry. The world is full of problems and marred with day to day situations that stress people out and make them unhappy, CTM wants to change that with the little they can, by infusing into an already saddened environment, happiness and joy through entertainment.

Radio friendly songs sometimes don’t pass across the message contained in songs but that is different in what we see at CTM. Emanate EP contains songs drawn from personal experiences of each artist featured in the album and also from their understanding of love. The songs in this EP are sure to take you on a musical journey as it explores the world of love and relationships. Carefully listening to the songs will give you a peek into what goes on in the life of young people.

The first song on the EP, Glide With Me performed by Olina Loua invites the listener to close their eyes and sing with her as the glide to a place called “sweet music” where happiness exists. Luke Pittaway the 16 year old from Sydney continues with an interesting and catchy song titled “The Truth Is “. In the song he tries to explain to his love interest that he doesn’t know how to say out loud the way he feels. The singer and songwriter who introduced himself to the music world on Australian X-Factor sings on the groovy song that he doesn’t want to write a love song about the way he feels because the world is already saturated with plenty of love songs. Your Wrong is another song sure to have an effect on listeners as Olivia Krautz stresses the need not to allow external views or criticism affect the way individuals view themselves.

On the 3rd song Amy Camilleri delivers a powerful song with her sweet vocals. Her style of singing would remind you of a young Beyoncé and Rihanna. The girl power infused r/b song “We Got the Heart” energizes females around the world to use the power they have to the full. The final song by Corey J would bring you to tears as it relates a personal experience. “As Life Goes On” is an inspiration to all those who feels like their world has been torn apart to shreds. It encourages each one to continue living as life goes on, facing every situation with hope and confidence that things do change.

This R&B/Soul E.P contains common themes like hope, love, and feminism. It is a must listen as it covers the entire topics being discussed in the world right now. Emanate is sure to keep you entertained and glued to your earpiece

End of May this year KJD Artist Development Held its first ever singing competition in Wetherill Park - ULTIMATE MIC BATTLE

Ultimate Mic Battle was a major success with over 100 Entries in its first ever event. The level of Talent the competition bought was amazing. KJD Artist Development Team couldn't believe there was that many kids in one competition with that much Talent.

All Genres of singing including Pop, Contemporary and even Musical Theatre was a major success on the day. We had an amazing Team of Judges Tarasai Vuche from the Lion KIng Tour, Producer Joe Fidow from popular RnB Group Kulcha and Cat Thompson one of Sydney's latest Music Sensations.

KJD Artist Development Wetherill Park classes start in only a few days, our teachers are pumped, we have some amazing new teachers joining our team this year, our programs are more exciting then ever before and this years events are going to blow your mind!! What we are planing for 2017 is going to be bigger then ever before and its all structured TO WORK!

Our recording studio has been pumping for 3 weeks now with KJD Talented singers already in the studio and producing their own songs and what they have created you wont believe!

Along side KJD Studios new Producer Joe Fidow KJD Artist development team held its first Artist Development Workshop early January and our singers are inspired! Joe is such an asset to the studio, he understands the industry, he understand the students and he understands KJD Artist Developments Vision.

We have built the recording studio to give their students more opportunities as part of their artist development programs and I don't even think the students could had imagined what we would have install for them or just how capable they are of producing their own songs!

Well its finally 2017 and KJD Artist Development is kicking off with a BANG with our Artist Development Bootcamp at our Wetherill Park studio and introducing our NEW recording to our amazing students and guests! This bootcamp is set to get our artists ready for 2017 teaching them how to create, write and produce their own music with the inspirational Joe Fidow who is looking forward to mentoring our students and seeing just where were can take them in 2017! This will be the first of many workshops to be held but this is the one that is not to be missed as it will set the ball rolling for 2017!!!

KJD Artist Development Classes Start back 23rd January and we are ready to go!! We are starting the year with an amazing show Saturday February 11th LUNAR NEW YEAR FESTIVAL Freedom Plaza, Park Road Cabramatta and then into Bring it on Festival in April at Fairfield Showground. KJD Team are excited for these two amazing events and know the organisers of both these shows put on an amazing high quality event!

Events are the theme for KJD Artist Development for 2017 and we are also excited to announce KJD Artist Development will OFFICIALLY be holding their OWN singing competition with an amazing plan to really inspire singers and as a bonus we have some great prizes to be won INCLUDING Recording Studio sessions with our amazing producer....

KJD will be also taking part in Urban Star, Show your Talent and for our Hip Hop Classes to really show what KJD can do we will be entering Battlegrounds again this year.... So much has happened at KJD studios over the past few months. Our dancers, singers and Actor have been working hard our dancers Heading to National Hip Hop Championships and our singers taking out Urban Star Nations placing 1st, 2nd & 3rd to really prove they are rising to the top! Show your talent was a major success for KJD Teams almost all our performers walking away taking the top two places in their divisions and Luke Pittaway taking the overall Future Stars award for the evening! Some amazing successful shows from all our performers including the Cabramatta Moon Festival where KJD Teams put on an AMAZING Performance

Whats been happening behind the scene at KJD Studios???

KJD Team have been working together to create KJD ARTIST DEVELOPMENT! Yes we are now officially KJD Artist Development this new name represents bringing together Dance, Singing and Acting Classes and giving all our students the best there is to offer in the Entertainment Industry.

Singers not only have we opened a brand new floor at our Wetherill Park studio just for singers and Actors BUT we have just launched our new Recording studio, right inside our singing studio. We have put together a team of Producers and Engineers who will privately work for KJD Artist Development so that our singers have not only the best in developing their singing skills but also the best in developing their singing careers!

Actors and Dancers and yes even singers, KJD Artist Development now are working along side a new team of casting and production agents Connect Talent Management who will take KJD Artist Development TO THE NEXT LEVEL!!!

To Celebrate the Launch of our new studio and everything our new studio stands for in November we will be holding our next showcase called.... NEXT LEVEL. KJD Artist Development has grown in 2016 after a successful year last in 2015! And we have a lot of exciting news to share...

KJD Artist Development Programs offer group and Private lessons in singing at both our Penrith and Wetherill Park Studios. We focus on developing confidence, technique and performance skills and opening the doors to opportunities for our young singers.

We started the year off with a BANG at Urban Star 2016 with all our acts taking out special awards from Most Promising Group through to both Most Promising Male and Female Artist! With some tough competition and a lot of first time singers from KJD Artist Development our Singers took out 5 places through out the competition that will take them through to Urban Star Nationals later this year!

Then our Wetherill Park Studio (located in fairfield) decided to expand by officially opening up a second level above our dance studios dedicated to our singers, equipped with some amazing sound equipment and with big plans to turn a part of the studio into a recording studio to take our talent development one step further!!

Coming up 25th June 2016 is our first ever Artists Development Showcase night being held at Club Marconi, Bossley Park. We some amazing VIP guest and family, friends and guests invited the night will really showcase where KJD Artist Development is headed.

SINGING SHOWCASE

We would love to see more singers coming through our studios and we now officially have the facilities and staff to handle more and keep developing talent in our local areas!

KJD Artist Development in Wetherill Park and Penrith are ready to combine on one massive night as they come together for their first ever show case "LAUNCH".

The event will be held at Club Marconi in Bossley Park, Fairfield on 25th June and will showcase the professionalism of the studios with their special VIP Guest list of agents, promoters, producers and some of Australia's Entertainment industries very own singers.

"We have some new talent in our studio who will perform for the first time that night, but overall the standard of our singers is very high" says Studio Director, Kristie Doyle.

There will be solos and duets, groups, bands, some hip hop group dance talent to break up the night but KJD singers are taking this event very seriously with a lot of our singers utilising the dance talent in our studios and even using back up dancers for their performances.

Some of KJD Singers will event realise their originals for the first time on the night and we have screens with dance videos made by our talented performers, show reals, photos and social media links all on these big screens to help our audience really get to know the talent they are watching.

The night will be hosted by KJD Wetherill Parks very talented and very funny acting pro class!

"I'm growing excited watching this all come together and love what we are producing in our studios and cant wait to share it with the family and friends of the students and my industry friends who are coming along to watch this night unfold" says Kristie.

Only 10 Days left until we start KJD Dance Classes for 2016 and KJD Dance is already taking it to the next Level!!!! And we are about to reveal what HOW BIG, KJD Dance is going to be in 2016!

We all know KJD Dance is a performance studio, creating future artists. We want to give our students the building blocks to be successful in the Entertainment Industry and help them achieve those dreams.

Our students work professionally in the dance industry and in 2015 we even saw our singers on X Factor as our NEW Artist Development Program Launched. YES KJD Dance now do singing lessons at both Penrith and Wetherill Park Studios and opportunities are opening from every angel for our singers! We have producers set up with meetings with two of our singers at the start of this year and promoters and agents are seeking KJD Talent!

As for our dancers in week 1 of January we are already pleased to announce 1 of our dancers has landed a dance role in a new movie and starts filming next week!! Its an exciting year for our dancers because the opportunities don’t stop there!

We will have more casting agents and producers coming through our studio in 2016 and KJD Dance Team have created all new programs to get our students ready for the opportunities that are ahead!! Our Dance and Singing classes have never been this advanced, we call these classes our Artist and Talent Development programs because that’s exactly what KJD Dance intend to do DEVELOP TALENT!!!! Starting with confidence building, through to Performance and onto SUCCESS!!

As I have said in previous blog posts KJD Dance have had quite a success rate when it comes to Hip Hop and this year we intend to carry on that success rate!! We have hired more Hip Hop Teachers, opened more Hip Hop Dance Classes in both Penrith and Wetherill Park Studios including Boys only Hip Hop in our Penrith Studio and what we have install for our Hip Hop Dancers in 2016 is going to be amazing.

What are our competitive performance programs about? Competitive performance classes are built to increase confidence and motivation in our students through live shows and competing at competitions.

KJD Dance believe strongly that this is an important part of developing performers. Why do we believe this? Well this is my story....

Growing up as a dancer we did SHOWS, SHOWS, SHOWS AND I LOVED THEM! I went to one of the leading dance studios in Penrith (at the time) and I loved nothing more then to perform. Back then if you wanted a solo you made it up yourself (well at my dance studio anyway) and IF the studio director approved it you could perform it and I did! And often!! Probably what inspired me to become a dance teacher to begin with....

But eisteddfods, my teacher would say “your not doing those things they are rubbish!” Well that was his grumpy old opinion but for me I think healthy competition gives students an edge, makes them want to grow as dancers (given you are teaching the right ethics at the same time)

So what does KJD Dance studio do?

Well like I said in my previous blog posts we are big on Hip Hop Dance Competitions, they are inspiring to the kids from the people you meet right through to the encouraging environment they are placed in at these events.

We do eisteddfods about 3 a year, the more advanced classes have the option to compete not just in troupes but in solo and duos as well. We try keep the majority of these to the Penrith, Nepean, Emu Plains area for our Penrith Studios and to the fairfield, Liverpool, Holroyd area for our Wetherill Park Studio, to keep it local and easy on our parents.

We then do other competitions that I know will benefit the kids (industry wise) particularly with our artist development students, our singers. For them there is a whole range of other opportunities as far as competitions go I like to lead them in the direction that will benefit them with their confidence when they first start taking singing lessons and then into their careers as their singing progresses (more then just entering them in a competition) and I am fortunate to have the leads to do this.

Then there is the SHOWS yes my all time favorite. All the kids do community shows and end of year concert. The community shows are mostly in the Penrith, Holroyd and Fairfield area, local once again.

It is all about building their confidence and allowing them to take that next step to want to be their best! Performing is amazing for confidence especially when you get those cheers from the audience at the end of your performance. A large majority of our students take our dance classes and singing lessons because they want to get on the stage.

Then there are the more high profile shows that we enter maybe for a marketing or network purpose. Getting the kids that are building their skills faces in the industry and amongst the people who count!

And of course there is the professional shows or the TV experiences and no not just once you reach 18 years there are a lot of opportunities out there and we like the kids to get those opportunities and prove to themselves just what they can achieve. We have a new class starting for this exact purpose in 2016 "Live Development" Read more about this in upcoming Blogs.

So KJD dance had evolved. Two performance studios were now running packed with dance classes and singing lessons in Penrith and Wetherill park and our talent development plan was in place. The senior classes and even the junior students were working in flash mobs parties, events and corporate functions but everyone is still asking, "what's talent development" well... it's about REALLY developing students talent to create future performing artist... it's about how we structure the dance classes and singing lessons, focusing on the students as individuals and what will work best to give them maximum results, how we run our programs, the confidence and opportunities the kids get and most importantly the success rate it bring our dancers.

We know where the opportunities are we have the industry knowledge and networks to provide these opportunities so let's create the kids who will be ideal for this!

Still confused? ok so I will break it down for you. Most dance studios have a set class, warm up, skills, routines... Well something like that but what's missing is a focus on those individual sets of learning... Given we still always warm up but we structured our classes to flow into one another so seniors can do a block of classes (this makes parents happy too) Take our Wetherill park dance studio Tuesday program for seniors we have a focus on acrobatics then into technical development stretching, leaps, turns, barre work and even adding these skills together but with a high energy focus to motivate to class = learning ballet minus the leotards and scrunched up noses. We leave the strict ballet for another night when the REALLY serious classes are on. Then they head into dance development which is a complete focus on choreography incorporating jazz and contemporary dance (and for me a touch of hip hop because I just can't help myself) then the given option of musical theatre to flow straight after, not all the students stay for music theatre, some don't even come in as early as acrobatics but the middle two classes even gets our casual class students really developing their dance skills at quite a fast rate.

Then take our future stars development program this is little kids aged 2/3-6years our program is set up for less running around the room like fairies or playing games (because let's face it mums we do that at home right?) but more focus on teaching skills and learning choreography. Two general phrases I hear from parents with kids that young are "wow I can't believe those little kids did that dance on their own!!" Yep kids can learn real choreography at that age FACT in the first 5 years of life children's learn the most... SO is it really that hard to believe then can retain choreography for me it's not because that's what we do! And the second? Well that's my favourite "there is now way ____ will get on stage" 90% of the time they DO and then watch their confidence increase!! The next dance class mums are saying to me "wow now ____ is even dancing better then before the show" you have to put these kids on stage, they are the hit of the show and the results for the kids are unbelievable AND THATS EXACTLY WHAT KJD DANCE DO! It's all about optimising results with opportunities.

I have wanted to start writing blog posts for a while now… but where do I start? So for the sake of not just randomly popping up with new post about KJD Dance I’m going to start at the start and tell you how KJD Dance studio evolved.

KJD Dance started in Penrith area in 1998 with only two teachers my mum Janine who focused on ballet with her RAD background dancing in the Australian Ballet and me, Kristie who focused on Jazz and my all time favorite dance style Hip Hop. It wasn’t long before KJD Dance became well know for its Hip Hop we were what you would call specialists in Hip Hop, I was travelling to America to study it and learn from the best, we offered break dance, krump classes, popping and locking, Acrobatics boys Hip Hop AND soon developed what has to be one of my most favorite experiences as a dance teacher even after a lot of other higher profile experiences (but hey its Hip Hop) KJDs Junior Hip Hop Dance Crew Splurb!

Splurb took the world by storm, literally! For 4years running they placed 1st in Australia in the Hip Hop Championships and were ranking 3rd and 4th IN THE WORLD travelling everywhere to compete and perform. They met celebraties in the Industry gosh they even knew people like Justice crew (just to name 1) before they were famous in fact while I was venturing off to America to increase my knowledge in Hip Hop the Justice crew boys were covering my Hip Hop classes at KJD Dance.

Everyone in the Penrith area wanted to learn Hip Hop from us and soon we had 3 Hip Hop crews and plenty of Hip Hop classes, boys Hip Hop and break dancing being especially popular.

But the main team Splurb was growing up and starting to focus more on their technical side of dance and a NEW generation was coming through the doors of our studio… We started bringing in more ballet classes, Jazz classes, babies classes and even musical theatre classes. More professional work was coming into the studio and it wasn’t just the Hip Hop dancers getting the work anymore.

The kids and students were surrounded by teachers who worked as professionals in the dance industry and now, because of the shows I was producing we were beginning to work with singers too.

KJD Dance was evolving. We opened dance classes in Greystanes, Holroyd area but pretty soon that grew too so we moved over to a professional studio in Wetherill Park next door in the Fairfield area. Now there were two KJD Dance studios and I had to take a look what everyone was wanting and what KJD Dance with its Industry contact and knowledge could really do… So… we created our talent and artist development programs, we are still strong leaders in Hip Hop but I wanted to find something… a program to really focus the kids on how to build and grow their industry skills in programs that were time effective for parents but still gave the students the experiences and enabled them to learn in a way that really developed their talents.

Our artists development program launched for our singers first and in a few months we were on the set of Xfactor with one of our artists Luke. 4 yes’s from the Judges and Luke was through to Bootcamp! Singers kept coming and KJD Dance was ready to launch its next chapter, our talent development program for Dancers…
